The challenge
ConBici, the national coordinator in defence of the bicycle in Spain is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. Volunteers publish content and news on their website. Their current site, built on Joomla, had become difficult to navigate, was not mobile friendly and did not easily surface news items to the top. This made it really difficult for users to discover new content and get a sense of the dynamic nature of the organisation.
The solution
We built a dynamic news-style WordPress publishing site. Volunteer news editors can easily create, edit and publish a news item as an intuitive WordPress post. The latest news stories are automatically published to the home page giving visibility to their work. theweb.agency worked closely with the technical director on the information architecture of the site in order to meet current and future needs and make content more discoverable.
A dynamic publishing solution
Rebuilt from the inside out
We built a new site from scratch, designing the information architecture together with ConBici to improve usability and discoverability of content.
Mobile responsive
The new site is designed to offer a great experience and super fast loading times on all devices and platforms.
Connection with external services
We connected the site with a number of external services such as Google Drive, Single Sign-on and Google Calendar in order to give best performance and user experience.
