The challenge
Idaero Solutions are leaders in engineering product design and custom software development. They needed a new website to help them expand internationally. The have a direct, b2b sales model and a key requirement is the ability to distribute and manage trial software licenses and gather sales leads.
The solution
We designed and developed a custom CMS solution on Umbraco, an open source ASP.NET CMS. .NET was selected in order to integrate with the customer’s chosen software license management solution. The solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure as a cloud web app. Notable features include an integration with Salesforce for pushing leads directly to their CRM system, a jobs board for publishing vacancies and submitting applications and a customer support forum.
Trial software and downloads
Allows prospective customers or users to request, download and activate a trial license via a workflow on the website and via their e-mail. It also enables registered users download the latest versions of Idaero’s software solutions providing a superior customer experience and greater conversions.
Customer support forum
A fully fledged support forum where Idaero’s technical staff and users share their insights, answer questions and provide technical support. This is really powerful for building a community around Idaero’s products and communicate with end users.
Training materials
Allows Idaero to easily publish training videos and technical documentation for users and prospects testing the trial software. The functionality includes a premium section which can only be accessed by customers or registered users.
CRM integration
All leads gathered on the site are pushed into Salesforce, Idaero’s CRM solution through an API connection. This makes it easy for the sales team to quickly act on leads and then track them from Salesforce.
